Follow the water path
Identify the reservoir, drinking surface, filter and pump in the product instructions. Look for the parts you must remove to reach each area. Before choosing a model, check whether the manual explains the cleaning sequence clearly.
Keep replacements in the comparison
Record the exact replacement filter and pump identifiers where the manufacturer supplies them. Note whether those parts are available in your market. A low initial price does not tell you the ongoing consumable cost.
Check the awkward moments
Consider refilling, a power interruption and the location of the cable. Check the manufacturer’s information about what water remains accessible without power. Keep a separate ordinary water option; do not assume every fountain behaves the same way.
Observe the cat and the routine
Record what your cat actually uses and what you can consistently maintain. We will distinguish those observations from product specifications in future reviews. The photographs in the design preview are illustrations, not evidence that a fountain was tested with cats.
